Current Activities: Rachel counsels clients on business formation and compliance, employment law, sustainability and intellectual property, as well as providing representation in civil litigation. An inaugural graduate of Fordham Law School’s Fashion Law LL.M. program, Rachel brings a rich background in public service and personal representation to her work with fashion and related industry clients. Her extensive litigation experience enhances Rachel’s ability to draft transactional documents that minimize risk and address the finer points of the deal. Rachel is an adjunct professor of law at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY, and regularly speaks on sustainability and ethical business practices within the fashion industry.

Prior experience: Rachel began her civil litigation career in Washington State, serving in the Office of the Reservation Attorney for the Quinault Indian Nation. She went on to become a Public Defender before joining Carey & Lillevik, PLLC, where she practiced in the areas of criminal and civil litigation. Since moving to New York, Rachel has served as General Counsel at Manufacture NY, Inc., Business Development + Community Director for the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, and Acting Assistant Director at the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham Law school.
